On Feb 01, 2025, several media outlets published articles elaborating the fact that WhatsApp has been targeted by another Israeli spyware known as “Paragon”.

“The messaging platform has directly notified affected users and provided them with security guidance, including resources from digital rights research group Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto. It has also sent a cease and desist letter to Israeli-based Paragon Solutions.“

At this point there is no clear indication of the full extent of the damage done by the “Paragon Spyware” to WhatsApp users worldwide in general, and Armenia in particular. But from past experience we can safely assume that PM Pashinyan has developed an affinity for Isareli spywares, and with his popularity gradually sliding below 15% of the Armenian population, he did buy the spyware and the targeted victims have remained the same;
 
a) Journalists who accused him of being the mastermind of the “Engineered Defeat” of the 44-Day War.
b) Oppositions figures who equated his position vis-a-vis the Armenian Genocide of 1915, with the denialism of Erdogan.
c) Academics who have questioned since 2018 his reasoning faculties, and labeled him as

‭“‬Loyal servant of the interests of Ankara and Baku,‭ ‬and also the humble enabler of‭ “‬The Greater Turan‭” ‬dream‭ (‬Pan-Turkism‭)‬.‭"
