Is Nikol Pashinoglu an Azerbaijani Agent?

Readers who have received by email our article titled Why Did PM Pashinyan Purchase an Israeli Pegasus Spyware?” requested more elaboration on the following paragraph we used at the end of the article:

The allegation, made by a former Azerbaijani intelligence officer in exile, that Pashinoglu was recruited and paid generously as an Azeri agent, long before he planned “The Velvet Revolution”, gains credibility with his badly miscalculated decision to acquire from Israel The Pegasus system.”

Most of those who contacted us wanted to know if an English translation of the Turkish text hyperlinked (allegation) does exist. The answer is a plain and simple YES. An English version was published back in 2020 under the title

Breaking News! Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan appears to be working with Azerbaijani intelligence! “

The introductory paragraphs of the English version highlight key points. Pashinoglu was recruited by the Azerbaijani Intelligence long before the “Velvet Revolution” of 2018. His code name was “Krach”. Pashinoglu’s relationship with Azerbaijani Intelligence happened with the full knowledge of former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his close crony the head of Armenia’s National Security Service Karlos Petrosyan. Those who are interested in collecting more details can read the full article and shape and colour their own opinion without our analysis.

Another source affiliated with the Azerbaijani Intelligence community, alleges thatPashinoglu received a substantial amount of money ($3.7 billion) for the services he provided to The State of Azerbaijan. To prevent any form of scrutiny of his personal fortune “His friends living in the US opened offshore accounts in Cyprus and Maldives with his wife, Anna Hakobyan's name.”

There are also Armenian political figures who claimed, on multiple occasions, that Pashinoglu was an Azebaijani/Turkish agent. During an official visit to Iran, Pashinoglu, without any elaboration, made a public statement that Armenia is full of “foreign agents” who managed to infiltrate the political landscape of Armenia. In response, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, former deputy director of the National Security Service, confronted Pashinoglu with the following challenge: “If you’re talking about foreign agents, start by telling us who you are. If the Prime Minister opens up to the proud citizens, it will become clear who he is.” In other words, Mr. Yeghiazaryan, was implying that Pashinoglu is the most prominent name on the list of foreign agents controlling the political arena of Armenia.

We have also another prominent name Mikayel Minasyan, Armenia’s disgraced Ambassador to the Vatican and son-in-law of former President Serzh Sargsyan, who published on his Facebook account, on multiple occasions, allegations that Pashinoglu and key figures in his inner circle, are Azebaijani/Turkish Intelligence agents.

Back in 2021, Mr. Minasyan claimed that Ararat Mirzoyan (speaker of the National Assembly in 2021) current Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, was a Turkish agent code-named OMEGA.

Other scandals emerged in 2021 assigning more credibility to the possibility that many foreign intelligence agencies managed to exploit the weaknesses of major Armenian political figures holding sensitive posts within the Pashinoglu government.

MP Anna Mkrtchyan, a member of the “I have Honor” faction, during a session of the Armenian Parliament in August 2021, confronted MP Ruben Rubinyan, currently Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, about the years he spent in Turkey, and alleged that he was recruited by Turkish Intelligence. Mkrtchyan pointed out also that another Turkish agent (Pashinoglu) nominated Rubinyan to a sensitive position while knowing well that, during his stay in Turkey his candidate (Rubinyan) was targeted and trapped by Turkish Intelligence.

Needless to mention that the National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) is vehemently fighting all allegations made by foreign sources or Armenian figures, that Armenia’s current political establishment is controlled by Azerbaijani/Turkish agents. The only problem is, NSS today is no longer a professional institution with a strong aptitude to uncover the machinations of Armenia’s enemies such as Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan, Israel, etc...

NSS is investing more and more time, effort, manpower, financial resources in targeting the foes of PM Pashinoglu, while the external enemies of our nation are launching massive recruitment efforts to trap Armenian agents holding sensitive positions within the State Bureaucracy and The Armenian Armed Forces.

In conclusion, is Pashinoglu an Azeri agent? No one will be able to produce an ID card with Pashinoglu photo attached to the document indicating that he has, or had in the past, some form of an official status with the Intelligence agencies of Azerbaijan, Turkey, or Israel.

Aliyev conferring to Pashinoglu the Heydar Aliyev” Order for the exceptional services rendered to protect the national interest of Azerbaijan

No one so far managed to produce payments “Transfer Records” of money flowing from Aliyev to offshore accounts in Cyprus and Maldives with his wife, Anna Hakobyan's name. More than once in our articles and Facebook postings we challenged Pashinoglu to allow, “Forensic Accountants” affiliated with The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, unhindered access to the financial records of all the charities controlled by Anna Hakobyan, but our challenges fell on deaf ears.

So, let us remember what Carl Sagan, the American astronomer/astrophysicist, said about evidence: “The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.” In other words, today there is a lack of a “Tangible” evidence to reach a conclusive verdict. But the lack of tangible evidence does not automatically label him as “Innocent”. There is an abundance of circumstantial evidence linking him, and individuals he personally selected to enforce his policies, to foreign intelligence agencies. Here is a list (not exhaustive but limited in scope) of decisions he made to serve loyally the interests of his Master Aliyev:

- On August 5, 2019, during a visit to Stepanakert, Pashinoglu launched the battle cry “Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s it”. He chanted repeatedly with the crowd “Miatsum/Unification”. This move was designed to reinforce Aliyev’s message to international forums that Armenia is getting ready to annex Artsakh, and to stop the expansionist policies of Armenia, Azerbaijan has no option but to launch a war, fully supported by international laws, to recover the territories occupied by Armenia since the end of the First Artsakh War (1989-1994).

-Pashinoglu purchased obsolete weapons to reduce the capacity of Armenia’s Armed Forces to defend Artsakh, and thus pave the way for the Army to sustain a very high number of casualties during a future war, eventually launched by Azerbaijan on Sept.27,2020. In his Machiavellic plans, crippling the Army as an institution was a must, not only to serve his paymaster Aliyev, but to consolidate his power by paralyzing the only institution that can seriously challenge his decision to sell Armenia and Artsakh, piece by piece, to the enemy.

His obsession with destroying the Armenian Army manifested itself again at the end of this month (Feb.2022), with a new purge of the Army’s leadership, involving the dismissal of Chief of the Rocket and Artillery Forces of the Armenian Armed Forces Armen Harutyunyan, Chief of the Department of Morale Support of the Armenian Armed Forces Artur Poghosyan, Deputy Chief of General Staff/Head of the General Department of Readiness of the Armenian Armed Forces Andranik Makaryan, Head of the Engineering Troops of the Armenian Armed Forces Armen Arushanyan.

-Despite being told by Col. Gen. Onik Gasparyan, on June 12, 2020, that Armenia cannot win the next war because the opponent is not strictly Azerbaijan, but also Turkey plus other armies (Pakistan, Israel), and diplomacy must gain the upper hand to avoid the next war, Pashinoglu refused to mobilize his diplomatic corps to implement gradually the “Lavrov Plan” and save the country from a disastrous defeat.

- He kept lying consistently to his nation during the 44-day war with the motto “we are winning”, knowing well that the bitter realities of the battlefields of Artsakh are totally incongruent with his pompous lies.

- Twice, on the first week of October 2020 and the third week of October 2020, President Putin offered him valuable opportunities to stop the war with minor concessions to Azerbaijan. Pashinoglu rejected Putin’s 2 offers, and decided to hand to Aliyev on a golden platter (Nov.09/20 Trilateral Agreement) 10 times more than what Aliyev was expecting on October 2020.

-Three separate sources, including a highly respected Indian journalist Kapil Komireddi, the author of "Malevolent Republic: A Short History of the New India", revealed that in the first week of October 2020, India advised Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and the traitor born with the soul of a Turk Pashinoglu, that India is ready to airlift to Armenia a massive amount of military hardware to offset Pakistani direct involvement in The Second Artsakh War on the side of Aliyev.

Tonoyan and Pashinoglu rejected the Indian offer by putting forward the stupid argument that Armenia is winning the war and there was no justification to acquire more weapons that the army does not need. Meanwhile, Indian satellites monitoring the multiple theatres of military confrontations in Artsakh were well aware that Armenia cannot win the war without a massive injection of sophisticated armaments into the arsenals of NK Self Defense Forces and The Armenian Army.

Indian intelligence analysts knew from satellites images that Armenia, between Sept.27/20 and Oct.02, 2020 lost 70% of its Air defence systems protecting the Artsakh air space. You lose the air space to the enemy, your troops become sitting ducks and an excellent opportunity for your Azeri enemy to launch a massive carnage that eventually claimed 6,000 lives by Nov.09/20.

- Pashinoglu refused to mount any form of serious resistance to push back the Azeri Army from more than 40KM of Armenian territory occupied currently by the army of his paymaster Aliyev. He has joined the chorus of those who are singing the song that Soviet Red Army cartographers made serious mistakes (back in the late 1920s) on the maps used to delineate the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan may have a valid point in claiming the land badly needed to link Azerbaijan to its exclave Nakhichevan.

- In Sept.2020, Pashinoglu purchased from Israel the spyware known as PEGASUS, and with the installation of the spyware badly needed to monitor any form of opposition inside Armenia, he surrendered the entire cellular phone network of Armenia to a country that has made valuable contributions, during the Second Artsakh War, to spike Armenian Army casualties to 6,000 martyrs.

- On February 20, 2022 Artsakh celebrated the 34th Anniversary of The Birth of The Artsakh Movement. Pashinoglu refused to travel to Stepanakert, to honour the Armenian soldiers who lost their lives by laying a wreath in front of the monument dedicated to the heroes of The First Artsakh War. He did not want to face the wrath of his paymaster Aliyev. Obviously, protecting Aliyev’s blood pressure stability was very important for Pashinoglu. Honouring the martyrs of Artsakh with an official visit was too trivial to disrupt his routine.

All the points listed above, and countless other circumstantial evidence that we cannot list due to restrictions of space and time, lead us to believe that Pashinoglu micro managed an “Engineered Defeat” well planned by Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Israel. He intentionally adopted and implemented decisions that serve more the vital needs of his Masters Aliyev and Erdogan, rather that protecting the national interests of Armenia.

Heydar Aliyev Order - Alchetron, The Free Social Encyclopedia

Pashinoglu definitely deserves the “Heydar Aliyev” Order

In conclusion we strongly encourage our readers to read an article titled

The Mask Spies and Journalists Wear

It is an interesting analysis about the murky world where the spy pretends to be a journalist, and the journalist is forced to spy to access vital information about events that have a strong relevance to the political games unravelling on this planet.
